first night of f-class tonight, and I am already hooked on the whole long range thing.
I ordered a Savage 10 FCP-SR last week and I decided to go with a Nightforce 8-32 benchrest after getting a chance to look at a lot of high end scopes tonight.
so, question for all you guys - what height rings will I need to mount this scope (30 mm tube, 56 mm objective) to a bolt rifle? I can’t find a reference to ring sizes and what size objectives they require…

also depends on the the rifle, on 700 SPS the part of the barrel where the objective is tapers off so you can get it a tad lower than if it was straight.
On my 700 SPS I put a 6-24x50 Bushnell Tactical Elite using medium rings, I think low rings would just barely clear it probably. For a 56mm I would start looking at medium height. Be careful though “medium” or whatever isnt the same between manufacturers
