Rimfire Suppressor Advice Requested

Any reason to prefer this over an AAC offering?

I don’t like how the Elements/Pilot mount in permanently installed in the tube. The Prodigy mount is permanently installed in the baffle stack. You can’t change it out, to go from 1/2x28 to another thread spec.

I prefer the Specter click together baffles because no firing residue touches the inside of the tube body and I can push them out with my fingers when they are dirty.

I also don’t care for rimfire silencers with aluminum in their construction. You can’t submerge them in a vinegar/hydrogen peroxide dip to remove the lead.

A Pilot/Prodigy/Element is ok for a small rimfire pistol like a Walther P22 or Beretta 87. That is really what they are designed for. They are a small “hit man” pocket gun type silencer. The AAC offerings are still very good. But they have been eclipsed by more advanced designs in the last few years, due to the freedom group takeover and the firing of Kevin. AAC has failed to innovate.

The Spectre is a full spectrum silencer that does better with high volume shooting and I would rather use it on a rifle such as a 10/22. It is more idiot proof and can withstand retards shooting non copper plated .22 LR through it.

Myself and many of my friends have Huntertown Guardian Suppressors. So far out of probably a dozen I have yet to see any issues out of them. Mine has seen moderate to heavy use on my Mk3. Like any 22 can it gets dirty, especially with the cheap stuff. Cleaning can be a bit of a pain for the reason Scottyran mentioned. But I just takes me a few extra minutes to clean it then normal. Considering I paid 150 for the can I think it is worth is. I will not say it is the best .22 can out there. A: Because I am sure it isn’t and B: because it is my only .22 can so I can’t readily compare it to others. I can tell you though that it has performed well with no issues as of yet.

I just paid for a Spectre II & this will be my first can. Scotty just confirmed all the reasons that I thought it would be the best choice for a rimfire suppressor.
