What product or service do they contract with the DOD to provide?
Almost every manufacturer claims this, even scumbag companies like DPMS, RRA, Olympic Arms, etc.
In reality, it’s almost always because they sold a couple rifles to some division of the military or feds for training and/or testing purposes. I somehow doubt any special operation units are kicking in doors running an RGun AR15. :no:

I would specifically ask them. Also, they were probably need a DUNS or CAGE code as well.
They would probably sell the DoD toilet paper and then claim being a DoD contractor.
I wouldn’t buy anything AR related from them.
From the one transaction I had with them, I’d guess they provided sensitivity training to R. Lee Ermey.
Not the most congenial bunch I’ve dealt with. My 7.62 ap4 upper was the wrong height, and the sling mount was bent all to hell. Sent it back, they agreed to fix it.
Then they called me and wanted to know what the hell was wrong this time. I said I don’t know, hadn’t got it back yet. Turned out they had shipped it back to themselves.
Olympic Arms has sold a bunch of weapons to the military. They are used as training aids and similar things, but it doesn’t change they have sold weapons to the military which is probably more than some of the other companies can say.
Mostly what they provide to the rest of us; BS! :sarcastic:

Not trying to derail the thread but I think that they make the lowers that The E2000 Pneumatic trainer guns are mounted on. Possibly the whole rifle but I’m not sure how many AR15 parts remained in that system.
So I am (or we are) supposed to be impressed that they contract to DoD?

I don’t think you have to have an existing or prior contract to be a DoD contractor. I believe you can get a DUNS and CAGE Code with the intention of bidding on contracts and/or to be better visible for solicitations. So, although they are DoD contractors, they may or may not actually have any existing contracts.
Does anyone have any first-hand knowledge of their AR15 offerings?

I know some guys that have built using their stuff and never had any issues. I personally have passed on them though.
Take this with a grain of salt. But the only thing ive noticed with a rguns lower i have is the magwell being just a tad tight, and installing a miad grip was a pita.But then again, i havnt beat up on the gun either.
