I received them today for $25.00 including shipping and the quality is very good.
Not necessary. All you need is a the starter punch and then the correct roll pin punch from Brownells. It’s about 25.00 for both of them as I recall.

I have all of the punches in those links and then some. The Brownells bolt catch roll pin punch is designed specifically only to remove the bolt catch roll pin, for installation it is only useful as a slave pin. On the Brownells roll pin holders and standard roll pin punches, while they have worked for me over the years they are far to short for the job and they don’t give you a straight shot at the roll pin, you are always forced to have the punch at an angle to the receiver because the handles are in the way.
Never been an issue for me and I have assembled thousands of guns.
I’m not saying that the Brownells punches cannot be used to effectively install the bolt catch roll pin. I’m just saying that these purpose built punches make it much easier.
R guns would look less stupid if they spelled "roll’ correctly.
Not really. You could in fact be “role playing” while trying to assemble the lower.

Why would you say the R Guns aren’t necessary then pretty much recommend the same tools or tools that do the same thing at a higher price???

There’s not much else that I would buy from RGuns but once in a long while they come out with something good.
The last thing that they came out with that I had to have was their lower receiver/front sight base bench block. Though I bought that from Aim Surplus for half the price.
I like the one Little Crow Gunworks makes. I also use the Brownells Slab Side Punch as well.

I actually misread this (it was late) and I thought it was one punch for 25.00. It seems like a legit deal. I buy my tools from Brownells simply because of the 100% guarantee. I have sent them hundreds of dollars worth of stuff and they always replaced it.
I probably would have bought the Little Crow Gunworks trigger guard roll pin pusher if I hadn’t discovered the Dead On Arms trigger guards.
I also use the Brownells slab side bolt catch roll pin punch but it is meant for removal only, or to act as a slave pin for installation.
Ah, alright. Though even if it were $25.00 per punch I probably still would have paid it because I have been waiting for a long time for someone to make punches like these ones.
For the most part I have also had good luck with Brownells. They have received a lot of my money over the years.
