Returned Form 1 with errors

I’m making an SBR (my 4th) as an individual, not Trust. It was returned because in 4h, I used my initials instead of writing out my full name to place on the lower.

In addition, in Section 8 where they ask for my Name & Title of Authorizing Individual, I left blank, as the examples I saw show name the title “Trustee” and I have no title germane to the application.

They stamped red stamps & used yellow highlighters to point out the errors—so, do I do the corrections on these original Form 1s, or send a new Form 1.

Ironically, the other Form 1s were approved using my initials & last name, so this baffles me.

Just make the corrections on the form. Draw a line through an error if needed and initial next to it, no white out. You can’t abbreviate your name as maker. I had the same issue.

They already put correction tape on it at the bottom. Frankly, it looks like it was approved, then they correction-taped that area & added red stamps.

Then all you have to do is put your full name in section 13 and 1h. Section 8 should be blank.

I’m sorry, I forgot to say the Error Form with the returned Form 1 specifically says “Complete Section 8” but the issues of my initials vs full name isn’t on the Error form…

Then I don’t know what to tell ya. I didn’t fill out section 8 and wasn’t allowed to use initials as “maker”. It really makes no sense because I believe section 8 is if you’re filing as a trust.

I interpreted it that way too, and it isn’t a Trust.

Everything I own is individual, no corp or trusts.

My name is typed in section 8 on my two form 1’s…

On my two Form 4’s, the dealers name is typed in section 8…

It seems whatever the signature in block 7 is, that name should be typed in block 8.

That may not be correct, but all 4 of my forms are setup this way.

And Block 4.h. I believe the only initial that is allowed is the middle initial. Both of my Form 1’s are this way.

There is correction tape at the bottom & it was approved, then they changed their minds & covered the approval in correction tape

ETA: BATFE is the most fickle organization I know, next to our .gov, of course.
