I’m looking at two-rifle bags and would like the forum’s thoughts. I’m looking at something approximately 36", preferably with some pockets or MOLLE so I can add things like mag pouches.
I’ve been looking at 5.11’s 2-rifle bag - my g/f has their one-rifle bag and it’s pretty nice. I’m also considering iShot and similar things. I just haven’t found that many out there.
Welcome any feedback/recommendations from the group.
Wow. I appreciate the recommendation and I may hold onto that as a dream case. For the moment, I’m afraid $350 (or even $200 for the soft alone) is a bit steep for a case. Not that I can’t see myself going that direction in the future, but I’m not ready to invest that just yet.
I found a great value and two rifle Blackhawk soft but well padded case. Under $200, and I’m still hauling it all over the place. I wouldn’t put an expensive custom rifle in it, I have a hard case for those rifles, but I love it. Hope they still have them for you at the price. You might also check LA Police Gear, which besides 5.11 gear and cases, they have other brands at good prices.
Found a very well made 511 two rifle case being sold by LAPG for $130. You can check it out here: http://www.lapolicegear.com/5ta36dorica.html
I would trade my Blackhawk for the above 511 case in a second. I especially like that you can carry it conventional as a bag, or as one or two shoulder back pack.
Heh. And we’ve come full circle. That’s the bag I mentioned in the original post as being the one I was considering (since my g/f uses their one-rifle bag and it’s quite nice). So… good recommendation!
lol… At the moment, I’ve got a Voodoo Tactical bag that wasn’t nearly cheap enough to justify it. It would be fine for a cheap rifle or all kinds of airsoft gear, but for a Noveske N4 and a nice AK, it’s like putting your wife and kids in a Lada.
You should be able to sell off your old bag. While I haven’t always been impressed with 5.11 build quality, my g/f has their one-rifle bag and it’s served her quite nicely.
Then again, at the end of the day, it’s a bag. We’re not talking Gucci handbags here… if it carries your stuff to where you need it, and keeps it from getting damaged, that should be our metric for measurement… …should.
