so I bought this used 20’’ A3 config AR a while back and the previous owner had hacked the front sight off and aparently had a scope on it. so I ordered a new FSB only to find out it’s not as simple as just slaping it on.
so is there a way that I, myself at home, can make it work? if not what would be my options?

i had a similar problem with a Colt A2 upper, sent it to Colt, they replaced the FSB…, no charge…, now that is great customer service !!
If you have to ask the question, then the answer is no.
Perhaps ADCO could help you out. I know they have a good reputation for barrel threading and that type of work.
