I want to install the protective rubber cover on my Comp ML3, but can’t figure out how to remove the flip-up lens covers. I can turn them but they don’t seem to want to come off. Do I just need to pull harder?

Make sure the cover is OPEN. It makes it easier.
I had a set of the new Aimpoint manufactured ones that were a bear to get off of a M4, so I warmed them up with a hair dryer and that made it possible. I noticed on my next set of Aimpoint covers that Aimpoint modified the design and the ridge that snaps into the groove on the optic does not go full circumference, i.e. it has some breaks in it. That both reduces the hoop strength of the ring and allows you to move part of it off at a time.
