I don’t know why, as it’s totally out of my realm of interest, but I really like the concept of that gun.
The M40 is still in inventory. Upgrades to the original system began in the late 60’s through to today. I believe it had a fiberglass stock by the early '70’s. The stock and optics have been the two primary items that have received the greatest attention. The barrel coming in at a close third.
Great marketing of a well-thought out rifle, IMHO. They ought to throw in that book about White Feather, though.
