Remington 870 with GG&G, Hogue and Mesa

I have attempted to find the answer to this question with no luck. Will a GG&G single point sling mount (#GGG-1283), a Mesa Tactical 6 round carrier (product ID from Midway #395885) and a Hogue 12" LOP stock (product ID from Midway #126882) all fit together on my Remington 870? I haven’t seen this setup and I’m wondering if it will require modification to make these three products to work in unison.

Info is much appreciated…

I run a similar setup. But with a TacStar, Remington stock and GG&G with a Specter single point.

The Mesa carrier won’t interfere with the stock or the GG&G plate. Not sure if the GG&G plate will interfere with the stock, but I doubt it. Email GG&G and ask them, they’ll likely have heard the question a few times already and should have an answer.

BTW, I run a GG&G on my scattergun, with a Wilderness single-point sling. I’m a big fan of single-points on shotguns, but only on shotguns unless something mandates it.

I think it should work for you. I have an 870 Police Magnum, with a GG&G single point sling plate, a 4-round Mesa shell holder, and a Remington factory stock. I had the stock cut down to just over 12 inches, and had a R3 recoil pad mounted.

The only issue I recall hearing about is people running a 6-round carrier, and a Surefire fore-end light. It is possible for the rear of the Surefire unit to hit the Mesa Carrier on some shotguns. I like the balance better with the 4-round unit, but I’m running a 20" barrel with rifle sights. I do love the Surefire 618 light on mine - well worth the cash.

Thanks for the replies. I have checked with some of the suppliers and they said they haven’t heard either way. I still not sure if they will fit. Serious student has the carrier and the sling mount together with no problems, so I guess that works. I wonder if the sling mount and the hogue stock will mate. I’m sure someone has this setup…
