What are you guys thoughts on the 26" 870? Have been thinking of picking one up for an additional HD/Tactical style shotgun. I know most go with the 18" but I feel that is just a bit too short for a multipurpose gun. Just curious as to what you guys thought.
well for about $100.00 bucks you can buy the 18" barrel and it is like a 5 minute change. Going bird hunting? toss on the 26 inch barrel. Just sitting at home drop on the 18 incher. I have 3 barrels for mine 26 rem choke, 20 (?) slug with rifle sights and the 18 inch fixed imp cyl. I hate Remington products but I won’t sell my old 870 sp purpose.
I have an 18" Tactical model. Was looking to pickup the 26" and add a mag extension to have an option for local 3 gun pump division. Just my novice thoughts anyway.
