This Memorial Day, I remember U.S. Army 1Lt. Thomas R. Murphy.
Tom gave his last full measure of devotion on 6 November, 1966, while attacking an enemy position near the Cambodian border – sacrificing his life to save the lives of his platoon.
Thanks, Tom, for taking the time so many years ago to show me the meaning of honor. Godspeed, warrior.
There’s too many to list and tell all their stories !! god bless them all , their families , and thankyou for the freedom that they and all their brothers and sisters in uniform provide me and the rest of us with !!

Corporal Pat Tillman, 75th Ranger Regiment, 2nd Battalion. 06NOV77-22APR04, Operation Enduring Freedom.
Yes, sometimes it seems there are sadly. Regardless, I will take the time once more to remember my two most revered, Shughart and Gordon.

This Memorial Day, I remember USMC LCpl. Russell E. “Rusty” Cyzick.
Rusty gave his last full measure of devotion on 23 October, 1983, along with 240 fellow Marines killed when their compound at Beirut International Airport was destroyed by a terrorist bomb.
Thanks, Rusty, for your example, showing me that being kind and being damned ornery can coexist in the same guy. You’re always in my thoughts, and I honor your sacrifice.
I am thankful for all My brothers and sisters in arms.and to my Friend that trained with me at fort Knox.PFC Jay Ornsbey 22 Died In iraq from IED and small arms fire in 2007 April

Thank you!!! To all who serve and have served and especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. My father served in WWII, my grandfather in the Spanish-American War and my uncle William Mashburn gave the ultimate sacrifice in WWII during the Bataan death march. To all who have gone before us RIP.
