This is the ACOG on my rifle, recently purchased both.

I’m considering selling the ACOG. As I understand it, Trijicon will re-furb it for me, but all it actually seems to need is paint. The paint on the adjustment covers and the hood of the back-up iron, for instance, is missing, but there are no “mechanical” issues.
That being the case, would a refurb at Trijicon seem a good idea with an eye toward selling it, or, since the scope itself is sound, should I just offer it like that?

Keep it like it is. It adds character! And, the version you have might become a collectible as it has a Scripture reference on it. I understand that future ACOGs will be produced sans Scripture.
Anytime I see an ACOG or Aimpoint in that condition, it yells out “military issue” to me. I am not sure what Trijicon’s policy is, but they may not want to recondition mil acogs sent in my civilians.
The very fine, light colored dust stuck on the scope is often a sign of service in the middle east. Your ACOG appears to have it.
You may want to run the serial number with them before sending it in. If it is a mil issue, I would suggest not sending it in and not selling it.
In all honesty, I’m not certain I want to sell it, and if I do, I really have no idea what to ask, it came with the rifle, so to speak. The “Mil issue” comments seem relevant to whether to sell it or not also…hmmmmmmm…
