I hate it when something from MSNBC makes sense. I don’t like the implications of “getting the money out of politics,” nor the notion that a president assuming more power would be a good thing, but he’s spot on that we have been sold down the river…and that 99% of the politicians on both sides are doing nothing but exploiting the issue for their own gain.

Democrats may be largely responsible for pushing us down the hill, but Republicans are standing on the sideline whispering “stop it guys,” instead of doing anything substantive.

Where are the leaders? For that matter where are the thinkers? Where are the conservatives with actual intellect like Bill Buckley? Instead we have received(or asked for) borderline morons like the two prominent females in Republican politics and screaming frothing “personalities” as so often typified on talk radio. I’m tired of hearing about abortion, guns, praying in schools, gay marriage, nutrition, whether or not we were founded on christian values, and all of the other issues that are beyond irrelevant considering the very real and very large issue that threatens us all.

I’d like a candidate to say “I’m not going to offer an opinion on X, Y, and Z because I’ll veto every single bill dealing with those issues no matter which side comes out on top. Every single moment the congress spends dealing with those issues is time spent putting off the real problems…time we don’t have.”

That guy’s right on point! It’s about time people get pissed and say something. I know jack else about the guy but his “rant” is right on target.

“We’ve got a real problem!” an exasperated Ratigan shouted. “This is a mathematical fact! Tens of trillions of dollars are being extracted from the United States of America. Democrats aren’t doing it, Republicans aren’t doing it. An entire integrated system, financial system, trading system, taxing system, that was created by both parties over a period of two decades is at work on our entire country right now. And we’re sitting here arguing about whether we should do the $4 trillion plan that kicks the can down the road for the president for 2017, or burn the place to the ground, both of which are reckless, irresponsible, and stupid.”

Geez. Makes ya wonder why he got the boot at CNBC.

I wonder if Chris Matthews had a discussion with this guy after his “rant”.

I wouldn’t refer to this so mauch as a melt down. More like a call to action. Good to see more people getting upset about this.

Brzezinski…Truly an evil, wretched human being.

He is the very definition of a globalist, and would sell out the nation for a university speaking gig faster than you can say oligarchy.

And Dylan was spot on. No doubt Lawrence O’Donnell and Chris Matthews had a huge shit attack after this segment.

If he doesn’t get fired, I will be shocked.

Damn that was good…

Thanks Hop I am in 100% agreement with you alot of guys are people are fed up.

So essentially Brzezinski is the shadow government everyone talks about who really “runs the show”?

Is Ratigan a fed up lefty? If so, there might be hope yet for this great country.

Presidents come and go.

Devils like Brzezinski, Greenspan, Bernanke and Kissinger can’t be dealt with by ballot box, are in it for the long haul and could car less about Joe citizen.

They are in it for the buck, and power, and they don’t take prisoners.

Absolutely on the money! Cheney and Rumsfeld are on that list as well.

Digging along a similar vein: Shadow Elite: How the World’s New Power Brokers Undermine Democracy, Government, and the Free Market by Janine R. Wedel (http://www.amazon.com/Shadow-Elite-Undermine-Democracy-Government/dp/0465022014/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_1).

From a review in Publisher’s Weekly: “Using her expertise in Eastern European communist governments, author and public policy professor Wedel (Collision and Collusion) has pulled together a shocking expose of those dismantling U.S. democracy from the inside. Labeling the new breed of U.S. political operators “flexions,” she finds individual roles as lobbyists, government insiders or elected officials converging into a single network “snaking through official and private organizations, creating a loop that is closed to democratic processes.” Wedel shows how a core group of flexions (neo-conservative cold-warrior Richard Perle, retired four-star army general Barry R. McCaffrey, Obama financial advisor Larry Summers, etc.) have risen to power on an unprecedented confluence of four transformational 20th and 21st century developments: government outsourcing and deregulation, the end of the Cold War, the growth of information technologies, and “the embrace of ‘truthiness.’” By wearing several hats simultaneously (think tanker, retired military or government official, corporate representative, “objective” expert), Wedel shows how a flexion can gain extraordinary insider knowledge and influence in order to custom-tailor a version of the “truth” benefitting the highest bidder. In this way, they not only “co-opt public policy agendas” but “craft policy with their benefactors’ purposes in mind.” This fascinating, authoritative wake-up call should satisfy any American who wants a handle on the republic’s most successful agents of corruption.”

Have you read it yet? Thoughts, opinions or anything else you can give us regarding this work?

Not yet. About third in the queue of those books sitting on the nightstand.

I recently went back to school to change careers. My former employment was in banking. I was in banking for 12yrs. I have to say that the way most large banks look for loopholes, financing schemes, and half truths to get investor money, sell financial products and services is sickening. I felt dirty when I finally left the banking industry and even switched my personal accounts to a credit union.
I was in Las Vegas in 2007 and had a few minutes to chat with the CEO of the company I was working for, Jamie Dimon, and I asked him specifically about a number of secured lending products we sold and some investment products as well. I told him my fears about exposure both to the company and towards individuals. When the mortgage bubble finally burst!
He looked at me like I had four eyes! I was there because I was in the top 10% of the sales force for a week long RAH RAH convention to slap on the back for doing such a great job.
Let’s just say that after the innocent questions I got a bit of the cold shoulder for the rest of my stay that week.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The wizards behind the curtain; Brzezinski, Kissinger, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Greenspan, et al (trust me, it goes back far earlier than them) are the “political” arm of the various factions at play. Much like how Presidents, Senators, Congressmen, and Justices answer to the likes of the above mentioned, they too answer to their masters. Study the history of modern banking, specifically the CENTRAL BANKING SYSTEM from the late 1700’s to the present.

The evil cabal knows no bounds. . .

People are starting to GET IT. Look past the Republican/Democrat, Conservative/Liberal, Communist/Capitalist, horse shit that has been perpetuated to DIVIDE AND CONQUER and follow the money!

Tin foil hat stuff right?

Mr. Brzezinski on C-SPAN (credible source for some) talking about various orginizations that he belongs to; CFR, Bilderberg Group, and the Trilateral Commission.
