Record snow fall for the Capitol

People around here are such fuckin pussies! You couldn’t turn on the news the past 3 days without hearing them talk about the “catastrophic snow storm of biblical proportions.” The grocery stores are completely out of milk, bread, water, eggs, etc. If I didn’t know any better I’d thing the world was coming to an end. It’s just snow people, stop acting like babies and deal with it. And they act like this when we get only a few inches, the schools close down if they are just calling for a chance of some flurries, ridiculous. As for me, I’m waxing up my skis.

While screaming that ManBearPig is coming!

About 8" of super heavy, wet, gloppy stuff here in SW OH.

Drove home from work this afternoon on county roads. No way I am getting on 75 with all the commudrones.

Engage 4WD and let the V8 and MT tires do most of the work.

I went to Trader Joe’s in Annapolis yesterday AM at 9 AM. They had pretty much everything but fresh made gnocci and artichoke ravioli. The horror!:smiley:

Here’s the snow at about 10am here, it’s still falling we’re supposed to get 4-8" more today.

That vehicle to the right of that gray/black F150 is my Explorer.

Just measured 27 inches here in Parkton, MD!!

I live in the “Hereford Zone” we are known for weird weather anomalies

Looks like a typical winter storm when I was growing up in New England.

Great pics M4 - my son lives in Chantilly and he said they have around 24" or so since yesterday when it started.

Sounds like a great reason to stay in, drink some Guinness and watch UFC 109 tonight.

The heavy stuff skirted north of us here in Lynchburg, VA - we only got about 8-10", and my driveway and the road I live on are already clear to the asphalt. I don’t know if we were lucky or unlucky…

WOW!!!

Judging by GotM4’s photos it will be awhile before NOVA digs themselves out of that one! I guess I won’t be going to DC next week

It’s going to take awhile. I’ve lived here from 1986-1990 and from 1992-present and I don’t recall ever getting this much snow!

That’s the kind of snow I used to see growing up. I think it must have something to do with Global Warming…

Yeah that guy who created the Interweb also created Global Warming. I just went around to the back of my house to clear the snow so that I could get the door open and clear off the deck near the gas fireplace exhaust. The snow walking around the house was half way up my thigh. It’s crazy. They’ve plowed our street a few times but haven’t touched the street behind ours.

I’m afraid the Penguins & Capitals game is going to be cancelled tomorrow  The Pens might not be able to fly into DC tonight. It sucks when a hockey game gets cancelled because of WINTER conditions. LOL

Looks like Jack Black doesn’t have to work tonight!

Yeah this snow blows. Working in it right now. Too many idioits still out on the road tryin to drive. Oh well at least makin some extra $$$$$ in emergency pay. New accessories here I come!

I finially finished my second round of shoveling, sun is trying to come out. I am beat!

No cabin fever here.

We have what seems just short of 30" - got the Jeep our earlier and just made the wife’s suburban accessible.

I have lived here since 74 and wow. Never had anything like this, or as many snow storms. My kids have missed more school this year…

I am tired of all this snow. We have had snow fall for the past two weekends which is ruining my shooting time in the GW National Forest; however, when I look back at my last semester of undergrad I will remember this storm. I have never seen this much snow growing up in Virginia Beach.

The only thing the snow is good for.

And sledding…

BBWWWWWAAAAHHHAAAAHHHHAAAAA!!!

Awesome!
