Recommend a light weight bipod

I’m looking to get a light weight bipod for my 20 inch any Recommendations? I was thinking about this one but could not find any reviews any one ever used it? http://www.dsarms.com/B-T-Quick-Detach-Lightweight-Bipod----BT22297/productinfo/BT22297/

Personally if I were you rather than looking at one of the various light weight type bipods that will most likely go tits up with any hard use, and opt to get a true hard use, high functioning bipod with a QD mount by ADM or Larue.

For a very quality option get a Harris BRMS for $70…grab a pod loc for $20, and complete it with a $80 ADM or Larue QD bipod mount. That particular built bipod will be built to last, and yield a really great bipod for about $170.

If you want the fine china, than just grab an Atlas V8 and don’t look back…it comes with a QD mount, and while it has bombproof design and construction it’s quite light…and significantly more so than the other option I listed above. $280 will get you imho the finest bipod option there is.

For some reason lots of half ass and most likely lightweight bipods are made for AR type rifles these days, and to me they are pointless since they break and most don’t even provide a true bipod design, but rather some tacticool design like the grippod that fails at both a bipod and VFG:D

I like this one… Ron

Thanks for the replies guys. I did some research on all and found many glowing reviews on the gg&g xds and I think it will soot me well. I found one on Amazon for a pretty good deal and pulled the trigger!

does this have adjustable swivel tension?

Yes it does.

cool. now that you have it, do you see a need for the “heavy duty” version or is this one sturdy enough?

I’ve used the XDS overseas. Can’t complain it did it’s job. I did have a sticky leg that was harder to lower than the other.

It has not arrived yet but when it does I’ll post my thoughts.

The bipod came today. It is very well built and light perfect for an AR type rifle. The heavy duty model I think would be good for heavier rifles in hard and rocky terrain but over kill on lighter rifles. GG&G makes a great product.

There-ya go! Cheers… Ron
