I’m finally setting up my garage the way I want. I’m not doing anything on a professional/business level, but rather a hobbyist/DIY handy stuff around the home. I’m looking for a floor mounted band saw or on a stand. I’ve got a harbor freight up the road, but have a hard time trusting anything from there. Should I get a Chinese saw from them or a Chinese saw from another brand? Seems like they’re all Chinese made in my price range $300-$700.
Stay FAR, FAR away from Harbor Freight, especially their power tools. I would save up & purchase a quality saw from a reputable vendor.
Otherwise, got a Home Depot or Lowe’s nearby? I would think they should have something decent enough for small, DIY projects that would be close to your price range.

That’s what I was thinking. I’ve already decided on a rigid 15" drill press, I might as well go for their band saw too.
