I went with the Wilson Combat 11.3" barrel, and it shoots extremely well. I only shoot it unsuppressed, and with supersonic ammo. I use whatever 147 or 150gr fmj for practice, and 110gr Barnes Vor-Tx as my duty ammo. Mine is a home defense gun, but I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to take a deer with it.
The only one I nixed was PSA based on past experience. How did you turn 1 in to 3?

Post #5 recommended a completely different cartridge than what I’m asking about, one that requires different mags, bolt, etc. So because I didn’t respond to Post #9 you automatically assume I rejected it?
At the ranges you listed above I dont see a reason to go over a 9". FL swamp? Sounds little like my back yard palmettos up to your waist, scrub oak and swamp deer. 50 is a reg shot at deer a few of us went to 16" 7.62x39 last year too much fun with subs/can. Crazy cheap for supers, subs not bad on sale still well under a buck…like deer balls. Can’t go wrong with either for those ranges 300 or x39. Bow almost over smoke stick for 2 weeks…then fun time. You’re welcome. I see poor choices in my classes all the time. How great is your low budget choice going to be when you discover the barrel threads aren’t concentric and you have a baffle strike?
Well not sure this helps this thread any, but the other day I took a deer with my AAC SBR.(9.5 inch barrel) Loaded up a Nosler 125 ballistic tip, 78 yard shot. Did the trick.
Just curious, what pistol setup using 300 blk would you guys recommend for wild pigs?
Depends on size of hogs and shot placement
There’s Several hog hunting videos discussing and showing how different 300 blackout loads behave
They seem to indicate a preference for higher velocity or hard penetrators that are also designed for expansion
I bought a DSG Black Friday special 300 BLK upper and have been shooting it for years now, just about MOA with good ammunition. I believe Seekins put it together for them and it was <$500, but my 2 year old recollection could be wrong.
