Well first I would like to introduce myself. I just recently joined, I have spent a little time reading stickys, and old threads. No doubt there is a lot of information on this website.
I am building my first AR, so far I have:

[li]Spikes Tactical Lower[/li][li]LPK from G&R Tactical[/li][li]Hogue Grip[/li][li]CTR Milspec Stock[/li][li]Daniel Defense QD Sling Receiver Latch plate[/li][/ul]
I still need to buy the RE/buffer tube etc. to complete this lower. I would like some opinions on whose Buffer tube/RE etc. I should go with. I have read that Bravo Company is good. Spikes has a decent priced kit as well.
Any info/advice you have to offer is greatly appreciated.
LMT has a pretty slick set up on theirs with the anti-friction coating.
LMT is top notch from what I have heard. Any links on where to buy?
I would use a BCM or LMT tube. Or check with GandR because I believe that he also carries good tubes.
I have a LMT lower and built up a Noveske lower recently. I used the BCM stock kit for that lower and have to say it is nicer machined then the LMT tube.
Do stocks lock up tighter than with the LMT tube? I’ve built with Stag, Vltor, and LMT. So far LMT has the best fit of any of my tubes, but they are “utilitarian” to put it nicely.
it’s the same, I’m using a ACS if it matter.
Checked GR`s website, and looks like he doesnt have the LMT tubes, he does have the G&R in stock, but I would actually save a couple bucks going with the BCM kit, over buying the parts separate. Ive seen Grant state that the BCM tubes are good. So I think thats the route I will go.
Now for another question…
What buffer to go with?
I`m planning a 16" barreled mid length. 5.56, I read the sticky on buffers and springs, but Id like some opinions from you guys.
The BCM kit comes with a Carbine spring, and a standard carbine buffer. Will that suffice for my setup? or spend the extra $ and get something else?
I run a H Buffer on my Mid length - runs great.
Run the gun first on the weakest ammo you’re likely to use on a regular basis, then decide if you need to tweak the buffer weight.
