I’m looking for a clamp on receiver extention rear sling mount. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the TD PR-4. I also see that MI makes one similar called the MI #30HD. Are there any noticeable differences between these two besides $30?
this may not be about the same one
I used the GOV allowed MI one in Iraq that clamped on behind castle nut don’t have model # off hand, I just had to readjust back up to the nut ever now and then… (m203, EOT 552, EOTec Mag, Beta Mag, all the other stuff made heavier than M249. on a single point sling.
When comparing the two it appears TD model has one more mounting position than the MI model. I have TD PR-4’s mounted on several different rifles and they are very durable. I attach my sling on the middle mount because it makes it easier to transition to the support side. IMHO it’s worth the extra money.
i like the DD receiver endplate sling mount.
+1, however it certainly requires a greater skill set and tools to install. I’m not that big a fan of DD’s bolt up EZ Carbine Attachment points. Just dont care for the design.
I do like th MI#30HD, and its a nice unit. Kinda heavy though.
I have no personal experience with the TD unit.
Troy has some nice offerings too.
the MI HD one is on my short list. because i believe it has 3 spots (each side, and mid/back). I am still trying to find pics to confirm.
I haven’t seen that one before and it does look like it might fit my future needs for a sling mount.
It does. Both the MI and the TD have 3 mounting points.

I looked at the Troy mount, but I would like the option of bottom center mount.
You would think they would use a better picture and give a better description on their website to show this.
great pic Reddevil
+1 JFreuler.
