Good eye for the Beretta. Gun Stories just did their last episode on the M9 and covered earlier models in the evolution of Beretta handguns.

You are correct, but LHS is correct in observing that ammo is not for the .380 Beretta in the fridge. And I’m not aware of any advantage to refrigerated ammunition.
The reality is those who made the film probably didn’t even give it any thought and simply put any ammo with the gun without paying close attention to detail.
The use of “MAC-Uzis” in this movie and others of the early 80s reinforces the likelihood that they don’t think anyone will be paying attention to the small details.

True, but I don’t store all my ammo with my guns. In other words, having a revolver elsewhere in the house, if you are going to store ammo in the refrigerator, 38 special ammo is not out of the question for this guy.

I think I may have seen it long ago but don’t remember. Will have to check it out again.
I just added it to my Netflix queue. 80s cheesy action movie? Christopher Walken? Various old-school weapons? Yes please.
It’s actually a very good early 80s film based upon the Forsyth novel of the same name. While not in the same class as things like The Deer Hunter, it is hardly in the cheese category with films like Commando, Raw Deal and others of the genre. There is actually a very well developed plot and interesting story.
Points of interest:
- One of the first on film appearances of Ed (Al Bundy) O’Neil.
- Walken’s Uzi SMG complete with two stage suppressor and starlight night vision scope for a total package weight around 18 lbs.
- A young JoBeth Williams.
This film is also for the Uzi what Die Hard was for the MP5.

I noticed the pistol as my father has one that belonged to his father, it’s hanging on my safe’s door. I noticed the .38 ammo too but figured the six shooter was stashed somewhere else or on board the person.
The Dogs of War is one of my favorites, it’s in my DVD collection. One of the best IMHO of the merc genre.
If you do, then I do as well. Yogurt with a little honey in it is an excellent treat. It’s just not something you normally see in the fridge of an 80s movie manly-man.
LOL, fair enough. I merc would want to eat some what healthy even in the 80’s. Nutrition is part of the package.
