I have read that there have been quite a few issues with rail mounted lights on the Glock 22s, what about the 35? I was just notified that my Glock 35 has arrived at the FFL and was interested if anyone was aware of any light issues with the 35. Also, what light or light / laser combos would you recommed for use on the 35 as well as my duty 22? I would like to get one light or light / laser combo that I could use on my personal 35 and my duty 22 to save some money. Thanks.
I have the 34 and I run an old M3 light on it. I haven’t had any problems with it, but I do have problems with my 19 and the same light. I think my problems are mag related on the 19.
No issues and i recomend the x300 light…

I have a 34 and 35 and have not had any issues running either with TLR-1’s mounted.

I have four 35’s and a 34 and have never has issue with any of them. I shoot them alot and almost always with an old x200 mounted. A few months ago I received a 50 cal ammo can full of loose .40 ammo containing everything from ball to some black talon and other misc. hollow points. I picked one of my older 35’s, which had not been cleaned in about 1000 rounds and over the course of a couple of weeks shot all the ammo with out cleaning the gun and every round with the light attached and did not have any malfunctions. I also purposely used mags with the #5 follower to see if that would make it choke and it still ran. I don’t know how many rounds it was but it was alot of shooting. I have always rotated my mags out of service monthly. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not, but it has seemed worked for me not only with my 35’s but also with my G22’s. Have fun with your new 35 they have become one of my favorite guns.

Soooo…you like the TLR-1 I see. I am actually looking to get one soon. I really like your 35 setup with TB, TLR-1 and T-1. I have mine setup with a 6" ported barrel, Tungsten rod and burris fastfire. It is purely a range/farm gun. Nice pic.
Sorry to jack the thread.
I had some brilliant idea for that 35 setup, but decided to remove the Aimpoint and go with regular sites. That setup made me realize why so many people go the milled slide route. The Aimpoint just sat too high for my tastes and I found myself being just as fast - if not faster - with regular sites. Still plan on adding a suppressor to it and along with the light, that will become might nightstand gun.
Someone mentioned earlier having a problem with a G19 running a light on the rail. I started running the TLR-1 permanently on my G19 in January and probably have about 3-4k rounds through it since then and have had no malfunctions. When carrying the gun, I have a clean TLR-1 mounted in a Raven holster, and for range and training sessions I mount a dedicated range/tlr-1 and use the same Raven holster. So with two different TLR-1’s and switching them back and forth, no issues. One thing I have noticed however, is that the range only TLR-1, which has probably seen in excess of 10k rounds of assorted calibers, but mainly 9mm, now has a malfunction. After some range sessions, the light fails to come on, but that’s usually resolved by going out and running a few more rounds through the gun, which then gets the light working again. My guess is something is being knocked loose by the recoil. This started after maybe the 8k rounds part. That’s the main reason why that light became the dedicated range/training light, and I mount a separate one for carry.
I have a Glock 35, and a TLR-1 light. I have on occassion had feeding issues with the light attached.
I have yet to figure out what the exact problem is though. I have tried new mags, new ammo, new recoil springs etc. and I still have issues from time to time.
Just when I think I have it solved, I have an issue! So for me, it’s not reliable enough to use in this configuration.
You may have already tried this but I have been told that over tightening the TLR could cause problems by changing the dimensions of the dust cover/rails.
My G34 has been perfect with my old school M3 light on it.
