Range Time

Hey guys, thought I would throw a few pics up,went to the range with my Son-In-Law the other day, first time to the range in a while,Big Wedding last weekend and in getting stuff ready have not been to the range as much as I would like. Anyways,a few pics,we shot my 14.5 AR,my 18 Incher,(no pic’s of that one,) and we threw in my M1a in the end !!! We shot at some steel & paper combined, just practicing some mag changes and engaging the steel from about 60 yards to 100,mostly off hand with some kneeling tossed in !! Had a great time, guns ran great and when we were done there was a nice pile of brass laying there, for me to reload again,:D,no big deal,I enjoy it !!! Also my Son-In-Law shot his new Benelli M2 Shotgun,he received a few weeks ago as a gift when he went on a Dove Hunt in Texas  Well hope this is the correct area, let me know, also, hope ya enjoy !!

love he marpat paint job on the m1a

where the hell are you in NY? I have been to over 20 private ranges and never seen a set up as amazing as the one your shooting at.

Hey guys, thanks for the complements on the M1a !! Yea it is a pretty decent range, close and handy for me !!! Of coarse I wish it had a bit more distance, its only 100 yards, but still awesome in its own right !!! If your close, drop me a line sometime & we can go shoot and have a blast !!! www.oneidarifleclub.com The distant steel is permanent, but the closer one is mine, that I bring with me !!

I concur with other replies. The M1 is sweet and that range looks great! I’m jealous of both. I wish my father-in-law was a shooter. I guess I’m jealous of that too. LOL.

You know I like to think I have fast internet…but then I hit a thread like this. Wow!

Looks like you guys had a ton of fun! I want to know who in the heck just gives away a Benelli M2, so I can hang out with them.

If you prefer not to answer, obviously you don’t have to, but would you explain the brace (My first thought was prosthetic, but then went with brace) your son-in-law is wearing? I can’t figure it out.

Not a problem, just didn’t want to bring it out and have attention brought to it,but I figured the question would get asked ! Three letter’s will spell it out perfectly !!! I.E.D,and I’ll throw in 10th MTN Division to round it out. The M2 was courtesy of the Wounded Warriors Program !

Ah. I had family in the 10th Mountain that served as 11B in Somalia and Haiti, and got out JUST before being shipped off to Bosnia. Tell him I said thank you for his service, at the very least! I’m sure he hears it all the time, and if he doesn’t he should.

Not a problem,he hears it all the time and is Grateful for all the positive from his Duty !! And the Brace is just that, his legs were pretty messed up along with alot of other stuff, but his left leg got the worst of it,I think it is even a tad shorter now,:frowning: And bottom line we had tons of fun,put alot of rounds down range,he hadn’t shot a AR since he left Afghan & was itching to get one in his hand again !! We are gonna probably hit the range again before they head back to Texas,(Fort Sam Houston) If we get some decent pic’s I’ll throw them up also !!

The only time I find myself up that way is to visit a good friend’s property which has a range on it. But, thank you for the offer!! I will keep it in mind if I ever find myself living further upstate! Sweet rifles by the way!!!

Sweet M1A, i hope to get one someday
