Range Report: 10" SIG 516 Gen2

Took the new piston operated 10" SIG 516 Gen2 to the range today to zero. I zeroed @ 50 yards then moved to the 100 yard and shot off a sandbag rest. I borrowed a friends Primary Arms 3X magnifier b/c my eyes are starting to suck. I was surprised at the accuracy results due to the barrel being so short. No malfunctions to report. I began shooting some PPU Match 75 gr BTHP which is basically a Russian copy of a Hornady BTHP. Those holes are covered by the 4 orange stickies to the left of dead center. Not bad considering its cheaper foreign ammo, but as you can see there is a difference. Next, I switched to Hornady TAP FPD 75 gr BTHP which produced the 5 shot group pictured below. The black diamond in the center is 1 inch across. They are about $1 per round and after I shot this 5 shot group I stopped and put them away. I walked away very satisfied. Big difference using quality American made ammo.
