Apologies in advance if this is inappropriately placed, but I didn’t see a thread for just random SHOT details; and I thought maybe a few snippets would be worthwhile.

  1. Daniel Defense is going to be producing their own match ammo. It will be loaded with Lake City brass and come in multiple grains and calibers.

  2. The Frog Lube booth was being shut down just as I was getting there on Tues, not sure why? The representative said something about their paperwork. :confused:

  3. Troy is going to be producing Kyle Lamb and Tiger Swan carbines and they looked VERY nice, they are also attempting to find distributors to work through the whole Dick’s fiasco.

  4. Things like the US Palm quad stack magazine have been put on hold indefinitely due to political question marks.

Those are a few things that come to mind for now.

The nemo AR chambered in 300 win mag looked pretty nice.

Is the DD “match ammo” going to be marketed for Ambush Firearms and hunting? They don’t make a DD match rifle, seems strange to make match ammo.

Geissele brought out a new trigger called the Tricon. Its a more combat grade SSA with stainless springs, less of a trigger curve, and a rougher surface on the face of the trigger.

Has shot shot real time reporting been a little slow this year or is everyone getting their ducks in a row for the big upload?

Big post, sorry about the crappy pics, the lighting sucked almost as much as my cell phone camera.

Well PWS released a whole new line by going Keymod and also incorporating an adjustable gas block.

The Kriss carbine is going to be released in the 9mm and the 40 s&w, they are calling it the K10.

HK and Colt are doing many different color options on their rifles.


Sig is still sig, releasing weird shit.

And im sure there will be more as i look over my stuff over the weekend.

To me it felt like a hybrid between the SSA and SSA-E (with a different trigger face).

I felt zero reason to buy it, personally.

So… where are the Shot Show pictures from SMGLee? I was looking forward to those.

I saw him friday at the Magpul booth taking pictures. I am interested to see what he will post up.

There wasn’t much enthusiasm at SHOT this year, so for the most part, I would say pictures aren’t posted due to that.

The rear site on that Sig looks crooked to me. And yes, WTH was Sig thinking? I guess now that I have crossed forty I don’t understand the marketing aimed at people in the early thirties and younger.

In part… and everyone (both dealer and manufacturer) has been answering the same 5 questions (50) times per day for the last month.

Dealer: That looks cool, when will be that out?
Manufacturer: Soon, but we’re trying to catch up on existing orders first for magazines/ AR’s.
Dealer: When do you hope to be caught up?
Manufacturer: We have no idea.
