Anyone have any data or first hand experience with the Rainier Arms match barrel? (Not Ultra Match) Looking to use one for a Recce build and curious of what kind of groups they are capable of.
I have a rainier select. I know it’s not the exact same. I’m just getting into shooting at distance. If I do my part I can get quarter size groups. I’m sure someone who was more experienced could get even better groups.
Was that using match ammo?
No. Just some georgia arms fmj. It did what I wanted so I didn’t see the need to spend the extra money for match ammo. Give it a try, worst case you take them up on their money back guarantee.
i have the 16 inch match, mine shoots one moa five shot groups consistently with hornaday 75gr superformance match. with handloads i suspect it will do much better.
I’ll probably just order one like G.B said if it doesn’t do what I want it to I can take them up on their guarantee. Been buying some Federal 77gr GMM to shoot thought it.
