Good morning gents; I have a colleague who needed som quick cash so I bought a Rainier barreled AR. He claims it is the 18" mid-length match barrel; the markings near the flash hider has the Rainier logo, 5.56, NATO, 1:8, MP. I know the match barrels are .223 Wylde. Anyone with knowledge of Rainier barrels have any insight? My immediate thought is that it is the Select MEDCON barrel based on the 5.56 stamping, but I am not sure how Rainier marks their .223 Wylde barrels.
As you stated, it sounds like this one:

My Ultramatch has 223 Wylde stamped near the barrel extension under the barrel nut. From my understanding, the select is 5.56 and the Match and Ultramatch are 223 Wylde.
Email contact with someone at Rainier, confirmed it is the Select. Still, made by Black Hole Weaponry, not a bad barrel.
