That’s too bad. I’m not local to them so I’ve never been in a similar situation. All the orders I’ve placed have come quickly and without issue.

I too have spent thousands with Rainier, but it has been a good long while since I placed an order with them. There are too many other vendors out there, many with better pricing on identical items. I’m also not thrilled about Rainier’s in-house AR configurations, and the whole “get it in six colors” thing does nothing for me. They have expanded their product lineup significantly and are trying to move into manufacturing their own branded components. I think they’re finding it pretty hard going – from BCGs to lower receivers, they are dealing with spec issues on a regular basis. Granted, their return rate is probably still pretty low, but the path they’ve chosen is way harder than just selling DD and BCM stuff at minimal markup – and I think this is one of the reasons we’re seeing more CS stories about them.
I’ve built an AR upper from pretty much exclusively Rainier parts. I had a great experience with them, I’m sorry your NFA experience went so poorly.

I have had nothing but positive transactions and felt their customer service was second to none. I appreciate their warranties and guarantees that they offer on their branded parts and will continue to purchase them solely based on that.

I can’t see the content of your post since it was edited, but Rainier is my number two fav place to purchase items after DSG. I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Rainier. And their shipping is super fast to my house.

I literally just bought a barrel and BCG from them for my AR 308 build. Shipping was fast, communication was great when i asked about if they match BCGs to barrels and check headspace before shipping. I bought their match 308 barrel and i hope it shoots well.
Hey OP can you please re-post your experience? I’m interested to hear what happen. I got some stuff for an AR 308 build last year and everything went fine, it was a little slow but the parts were good and everything was correct. I’m doing an AR SBR build right now and I should be getting my paperwork any day now so I’m going to need to by an upper soon. I’ve been waiting for BCM to get some more 11.5 uppers in but if they don’t get back in stock shortly I’m going to just build it. Rainier Arms is on my short list of places to buy parts.
