Railed MP-5 handguard

Hi guys

I’m looking for a recommendation for a brand of good quality MP-5 railed handguard, other than HK, Surefire and B&T.

This is regarding a tender solicitation, not personal use.

Shoot me a PM if you like.

Thanks.

Have you seen the Spuhr modular handguards? They look rugged and very functional, and Spuhr has a great reputation for quality with the scope mounts.

Thank you!

I’ve dropped them a line.

I think Troy, Sampson and KAC all make MP5 forends as well. I have only used the Surefire so I can’t “recommend” any of the others.

Of all current modular/railed fore-end options for the mp5/53 and G3, I think the Spuhr handguards are likely the best of the breed. I really like the Spuhr accessory mounting points on my Spuhr scope mount. Like all things Spuhr, I am sure their fore-ends are pure art in aluminum. The Spuhr G3 handguard weighs the same as the standard HK g3 fore-end. I am so impressed with my Spuhr scope mount; if and when I decide to use a modular fore-end on a roller lock gun, it will be a Spuhr.

HK also has a new modular fore-end design. Not sure if they are commercially available at this point or if they are actually being produced by HK (vs B&T or other).

It is too bad KAC no longer makes their HK railed handguards.

Yeah, I couldn’t find anything from KAC or Troy either.

Seems the Troy has been discontinued.

I saw that you posted a similar thread on HK Pro. There is a thread with photos of the Spuhr mp5 rail a few below yours. I also found a thread at HK Pro on HK’s booth at AUSA. This shows what appears to be HK’s new modular fore-end.
