Rail riser reviews?

I picked up a sight for my SR556 and realized I need a 1/2" riser. After reading countless reviews from amazon and other online sources, I am totally confused  This will also be used on a .308 and possibly a 12 gauge, so it needs to be durable.

What is your experience with them, the good, the bad and the ugly??? And I need a good source to purchase one?

bump TTT

What’s the big deal? It’s just a riser. It’s not like that sight weighs two pounds and you are trying to shoot 1/4 MOA with it.

  • the big deal is they range in price from $10-~$100
  • reviews stating problems
  • I want something I can depend on and not be replacing every few hundred rounds

If you cant be helpful, maybe you should not be posting

You don’t want to be helped. See you later.

I’ve bought quite a few different size risers from Amazon on the cheaper side of 30 bucks and have had no issues with them but I’m also not rolling in dirt, climbing cliffs or crawling through mud so they work fine for my purpose.

And no I’m not replacing them every hundred rounds they have held up just fine.

I do want help but apparently you don’t understand the question, good bye

Thanks, which ones do you like the best, most likely to buy again?

Yankee Hill…TMS…Burris and I just ordered a Hammers 1" to try.

I use a YHM extended riser (plus low rings) on all my scoped ARs… it is 0.5". You probably don’t need the extended version for a See All, but I think they make a regular non-extended version too. I get mine from Midway. FYI I do roll in dirt, climb cliffs, and crawl through mud with mine, and that setup has held up fine. It is also very light weight.

great, something that can handle being used without getting hurt, thanks
