The MRF is a 2 piece rail, the new rail they just came out with is the one piece one. I had 2 carbine length ones on my first 2 ARs, a RRA and DPMS (I know, I know) and I liked the quality. They were the nicest things on those rifles, and the rails were in spec. For the price compared to higher end rails, they were nice enough, but I’ve moved on to DD and Larue.
ETA: I know nothing about the SWS, but I have the DD 12.0 lite on a BCM midlength. The only reason I would go with the Troy is the cost savings, other than that, I would go with the DD.
Yes. Militarymorons has a very nice review of it if you want to check it out there. The reason I got it is because G&R had it on their open box sale page for $175.
