Quick trigger question

OK I just assembled a AR for my Dad, and had a question on the trigger.

All the others I have assembled have had a certain amount of play or take up in the trigger. This one does not , it is solid, very little movement before it breaks. It acts more like a 1911 trigger.

It works fine, no problems there. But was wondering is this still normal or is there something I need to look at?? I know it may sound stupid but I wanted to double check to make sure this isn’t a sign of a problem to be.

Thanks.

Are all of the triggers you have installed single stage, mil-spec triggers? Or were the previous ones two-stage triggers? All of my single stage triggers, Colt,BCM, and ALG QMS, have no take-up. Just a tiny bit of creep and then they break. Can you give us the brand names of the triggers that were installed?

Is it a single stage or 2 stage?

These are all just standard , LPK triggers. Nothing special . I do have a SD-E, but I am not trying to compare to that.

This latest one was part of a PSA PTac MOE lower build kit. ( This was before I knew what P-Tac was, I thought it was just some PSA marketing )

To me your latest install is normal. Your previous ones, not normal. How much take-up was there before the trigger broke? My DD LPK trigger had almost 1/8" of creep, not take-up, before the sear released. Changed out to an ALG QMS, and all is much better.
