How much money should I expect to get if I trade my Glock 17 with Heinie telfon straight eights sights? Gun is in like new condition with about 3,000 rounds through it. Need money right now and I want to get a G19 anyways…
Trading in… to a dealer… would require that you leave some room for re-sale profit… and if a stocking Glock dealer… would need to be under his wholesale cost! Have you thought about selling privately… face-to-face, gun show or online?
I’d guess $250, maybe $300 trade against a full retail priced pistol in the dealer’s shop if the gun looks great.
Yeah, problem is I kinda need the money ASAP. Having car troubles right now that I need to get resolved and im low on cash ATM 
Best bet is to price it to move, and sell it locally. That’s what I’ve done in cash crunches in the past.
I look at it like this. If I lose a little cash on a gun… so what… It was like renting the gun for the time period I owned it. I can pick up another one later.

Guns, for the most part, are not investments…
Bud’s is about the best I’ve seen for trades, and generally will give up to $350 for Glocks with night sites. You can get more on one of the private/free auction websites. I personally have never offered to sell or buy a firearm with someone face to face (for me it’s either in the store or online).
