Moved to a new house in the same state. I know not technically required to submit a 5320.20, but I am going to anyway.
Filling it out I have one question:
Box 1.
New(current) address or old(the one on the Form 1) address?

I don’t know why you’d want to and you certainly don’t need to, that form is for interstate transport which you are not doing. It’s not like you going to get a pat on the back from them. But I suppose I’d put the old address in part 1, mark box 3 no, then put the new address down below.
I just sent a bunch of them off for the next years travels in neighboring states.
Part of my thought process is if and when I actually do travel interstate with it and am required to send in the form I dont want the ATF going “why is this address different than the address we have on file”. Like I said, I know its not required by law, but figured I would send one off anyway. Takes like 2 minutes.
I understand. I think you could simply send them a letter listing your NFA items and request that they update your address.
Might be worth a phone call to see exactly what they would prefer.
when you travel interstate they aren’t going to scrutinize it. In addition to that they know their own rules and if they see a different address, but same state it will be quite clear.
