Questions......

Ok, so here goes……

If a regular civilian wanted to purchase a Colt 6921 could they?
If so…
Could he/she avoid the SBR paperwork by having a Phantom/Smith V FS pinned and welded prior to taking actual possession?
OR
Could the purchaser take possession of the rifle and do the pin a weld themselves.

The SBR paperwork/laws is one thing I’m not up on.

What I would like to do is purchase a Colt LE6921 and avoid SBR paperwork by having a pinned and welded flash hider.

Is this possible?

The 6920 is alot cheaper and you dont have to hassle for 1.5"

The 6921 is a registered NFA item so really you cannot do what you want.

I would just buy the 6920.

Thank you for the replies.
Guess I’ll stick to building my own.
Heck, it’s more fun that way!

If it’s the “Colt” brand and 6921 look you are after, you could, as C4 suggested, purchase a 6920 and have the barrel cut and a phantom permed on, for 16" OAL and poof damn near a 6921. It would not be 14.5" but would look very short.
