Question re Vltor EMod A5 kit

I just did some preliminary research and see that this new stock kit is meant to help smooth out cycling for an AR running anything less than a rifle gas system.

My questions for the board are this:

  1. How much of an improvement can one see if one is running a middy with an appropriately spec’d gas port (think BCM) and an H buffer?

  2. Would this set up be more appropriate for an upper with a carbine gas system as opposed to what I outlined above.?

I did see some videos by 87GN, I think, that show some high speed footage of bolt bounce. I guess I really need to review them again to see how much bolt bounce is exhibited with a middy gas system and an H buffer.

Thanks.

ETA: Found the video I was looking for: www . youtube.com/watch?v=575Q0O41u5s

Seems like there still is a tad bit of bolt bounce with a BCM H buffer in a 16" BCM middy, albeit very, very slight. Just an observation.

I recently bought an A5 for my rifle with the carbine length system. I also own a BCM middy on a seperate lower using an H2 buffer.

I shot both side by side using my highly calibrated shoulder  and the felt recoil on both seemed very similiar. I then swapped uppers and shot the middy on the A5 and I personally did not feel that there was any improvement with recoil.

As to bolt bounce, according to the main thread on the A5, the A5 may make some difference with the mid-length.

Thank you for the feedback you provided. And can you provide me with a link to the “main” A5 thread? I do not think that I found that particular thread. Thanks.
