Having a bit of a brain fart and cant remember the correct answer so I need a little information.
I have a Colt H-Bar fixed carry handle A-2 with a build date of 1992 and was wondering since I’m re-barreling with a FN built pencil barrel with a .625 FSB and wish to use a fix sight should I go with the “F” marked .625 version or a original unmarked .625 sight to be of proper height for use with the fixed carry handle rear.
Thanks!
The “F” designates FSB’s suitable for use with Flattop receivers. The non “F” marked FSB’s are set up for use with fixed carry handle receivers.

If you’re re-barreling it, why not spend 80 bucks and replace the upper too?
Thank you,
Can’t believe I missed such a simple bit of information.
Its a big pin upper and I’m just just going to keep it simple with a barrel replacement to transform this old heavy H-Bar safe queen into a handy light rifle at minimal cost.
Daniel Defense makes a big pin flat top upper. Just sayin…
