Question on selling preban mags.. help

Have some preban AR mags. Have had these for years, they don’t have any dates on them. Have some individuals in the states of New York and Mass. that are wanting to buy some.
What legal issues am I running into here if any?

I have been under the assumption that cannot sell/ship to anyone in those states.
Is this true?
Are there other states that also apply?

Providing the mags have Pre 94 date stamps or no stamps at all they are fine. Or if you are a LEO residing in that state you can have restricted or post 94 date stamp.

Ones I am selling are definitely preban no dates.

I think the ban states are MA, NY, NJ, HI, IL, CA. there are probably a few more but I dont know for sure.

So I could sell hicap mags to individuals in those states as long as the mags are preban with no dates???

YES!!

Not necessarily. California for instance requires that anyone who has a >10 round mag have possessed it prior to Jan 1, 2000. Other states like NY have a >10 round mag ban but allow sales of pre-ban mags.

You can do whatever you want. It’s the guy on the buying end who has to worry about being compliant with his local laws. Think about it.

Thanks for the help guys.

As long as the +10 round mag was made prior to Sept.13.1994 it can be sold and shipped to NYS , but not NYC.

I hate New York!!! Yet I have met alot of good people from there, I wonder how they have gotten so f@*#& up> The same goes for Mass, great people crap state government.

If you’re concerned about breaking the law, sell them to somebody else in a free state.
