question on ctr stock

Hi,
i just purchased a CTR stock (mil-spec) for my BCM lower. I got a question regarding fitting:
The stock rubs a lot on the buffer tube, it doesn’t move freely when I’m adjusting it. I slide it 2 or 3 time and it already left marks on each sides of the buffer tubes (lines), rubbing marks.

is it normal?

The stock one (M4) i received with the lower, glides freely when i need to adjust it

It is perfectly normal in my experience, for stocks to fit a little tight until you have worn them in.

Marks on the receiver extension are to be expected, unless of course, you don’t ever adjust the stock.

so by “playing” with the adjustments, it should be a little bit looser over time? when i mean looser, i mean, slide easier over the tube?

If you move the stock back and forth over time it will wear in. It’s completely normal.

Yep…

By the time you run that stock back and forth one hundred times, it’ll be nice and loose…

Personally, I like the stocks to be nice and tight, which is one of the reasons that I no longer use a CTR…

ok, thanks. I just wanted to make sure it was normal and that i didn’t order the wrong stock for the buffer tube i have.

You would know without a doubt: A (quality) mil-spec stock won’t even come close to fitting over a (typical) commercial RE.
