My barrel blue is fading, came blemished from dealer, so I got a good deal on it. Now, should I just paint it, or should I cold blue it? I heard cold blue endures as well as paint, so it’s less labor to go with just a rattlecan job. Opinions?
I’m lazy and I would just spray paint it with high heat paint. But that’s just me…
Nothing like spending 4 bucks to paint it once a year if it fades a bit.

As far as I know they are mostly parkerized.

Dude, I doubt it’s blued. Even the crappiest AR’s would’t use a blued barrel. If its dull, it’s probably bone dry.
