Those Konus red dots that look like the Aimpoint Micro sights, how well do they hold up?
I’m under the impression they are the same sight SIG sells too and I would assume SIG wouldn’t be selling them if they didn’t hold up somewhat OK.
I really like the look of the Aimpoint Micro but the price tag sure isn’t micro!
I’m just a weekend plinker, not a Spec Op running around Iraq or Afghanistan so I don’t need $700+ dollars worth of optics.
Speaking of Spec Ops, one of my friends had bought his own American Defense SOCOM mount to use over in Afghanistan, he is back, done, retired… He had to turn in the Mirco as it wasn’t his but the mount was. He gave it to me and told me it was an Aimpoint Micro riser. It’s pretty nice, quick detach etc.
Anyway it looks like the Konus works on it too with slide modification, hence why I’m considering it.
I just want to make sure it’s going to hold a good zero with 5.56 ammo blasting threw it.
