I have the Bushmaster grease for the barrel nut. I wasn’t sure if it only goes on the threads or not. Do I grease the barrel extension where it goes into the upper reciever as well? Sorry if this has been discussed, I did a search and couldn’t find the answer.

Put the grease on the receiver threads.

Also put a little grease on the front edge of the barrel extension where the barrel nut slides against the extension.
This will help minimize canting that is caused by barrel nut torque.
