I had four- sold one on a build, use two, and one is a spare. All are good. Called Lou about a mixup (my end) and had a nice 20 minute conversation commiserating about the nuttiness. Great fella.
They’re fine and they were dirt cheap. LRB makes pretty good stuff. I have two of their lowers and they are just a normal in-spec lower. Nothing fancy and nothing deficient. I think I paid something like $59 each from a local shop back in 2007. I like their rollmark, too. Historical US ordnance bomb and cannons crossed.
Where they really excel is in their M1A/M14 stuff. Their M1A/M14 (Semi) receiver makes Springfield’s look like it was made with a dremel and a file. My father just bought one for a Vietnam-era M14 clone that he is having a guy build for him. I just saw him yesterday and this receiver looks very well made with very clean edges and no tool marks. The downside was that it took LRB around 8 months to deliver it, but he didn’t mind.
