Quality Shift

Why the quality shift lately? Lots of stupid (newbie?) questions and threads.

We all start somewhere right?
Before this is completely lamented, lets consider it a simple increase in new gun owners? The “is the G4 glock G2G??” may be getting old, but so are the threads claiming were being over-run by “idiots”

+1

Just be grateful for ignorant people who have a wholesome interest in the shooting hobby, educate them where you are able, and welcome them to something we hope to preserve.

I don’t think you can attribute special flower posts, questions that can be answered with a google search or site search, etc. to “new gun owners”. That behavior has zero to do with how long you’ve owned a gun, or if you own one at all.

Almost Every basic question can be answered by reading the stickies and if it’s not there the search will find it. If not then its time to post.

I seem to remember a similar trend last year around this time. There was a thread that suggested a post Shot Show wave of new members coming on and asking the same ole questions. I think there might be a connection.

Tis the season, tax refunds drive alot of would-be AR owners to the forums.

Post-Xmas/post-SHOT influx.

Normal, cyclic, annual.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

I try and see the bright side, some of your best posting comes out during this season.

+1 tax money will be burning holes in many pockets.

Hope I am not one of those… :agree:

I have been a newbie for most of my time on here (still am), but I think most of time I at least know when to keep my mouth shut and learn from those far more experienced than myself.

I appreciate new people who come to learn, I just don’t like all the stupid threads that you see on any generic low-end gun board.

Like “PICS OF MY NEW XD9 IN SERPA (NEVER SHOT) WHAT COLOR SHULD I PAINT IT??!”

Thanks for the info. I will try the “report” button or attempt to be helpful in the future.
