Looking for a QD mount for a collapsible stock. Either clamp on or end cap. What are you preferences, and why?

I have the same style QD end plate (different brand) on one of my ARs and I love it. Less bulky than a clamp and weighs less. (ounces add up.)

The clamp-ons take up buffer tube space and block the first buttstock position.
While true regarding the bulk the extension mounted ones do have the benefit of moving the sling point up and farther away from your hands. So something to consider.
I think they clear on an A5 though. Usually.
I run two point slings and like to have a couple of options for mounting, so QD attachment points are a must. This is what I run:

Before I got the MOE-SL stock when I wanted to run rear mount I pushed the metal adjustment slider through the slots on the rear of the stock, then if I wanted to run a mid-point mount, I would have had to attach a QD swivel to the sling (at that point I wasn’t doing that - I used another cheap sling). My mounting method prevented me from completely collapsing the stock, which wasn’t an issue to me. The MOE-SL changed that, I put QD swivels on all my Sheriff of Baghdad slings and can easily switch - in reality I don’t all that often, I usually run the rear mount on the stock.
I am a lefty firearms instructor, so through the years I’ve become fairly ambidextrous, as a result I use this QD end plate:
So I have about $90 tied up in the stock and the end plate, probably another $90 in QD swivels for my slings.
As I pointed out, even though I rarely run the mid-point/end-plate attachment, I like the option. The parts I outline, plus QD plates on both sides of the rail, allow me to have an pretty much ambi rifle, which is important to me because one of my daughters is wrong-handed. (from the lefty perspective that means right handed)
Buying in increments doesn’t ouch quite as bad on this types of purchases.
