PWS MK214 SEBR

Saw over on the PWS site:

The MK2 series, developed by Primary Weapons Systems, and based on the SR25 platform, has been built from the ground up as a short barreled rifle for those requiring the venerable 7.62x51 in a compact package. Utilizing our proven long stroke piston system, the MK1 series greatly reduces fouling in the action of the weapon making it as reliable as the AK47 that it was designed after.

Based on the the KAC SR25? I’m interested in the context of that statement.

it uses the sr25 mags.

There is a cheaper mass production version coming out soon after for about $2200. Will wait for range reports.

Man, now $2200 is cheap?!

Yeah, I guess under $2500 for a piston 308 is “cheap” these days. Seems like the SCAR 17 is a better deal all things considered.

The PWS boys dont seem to like free float rails too much eh

Eh Lucy? yuz haz sum esplainin to do! Ricky no get it!

(BTW that is a FF setup in the picture.)

that’s not a FF setup in the picture. all four rails are attached to the gas block with screws.

From the description on their website: “An innovative hand guard system utilizes a proprietary non-free float system that allows the end user or unit armorer to replace individual rails as needed without removing the barrel, barrel nut or even other rails.”

I’ve got a black one headed my way next week. Review and pics to come.

Edited to add a pic (MK214 on top)

Are you related to the guy that just dredged up a THREE year old thread in this forum to say his 300wsm AR was on the way, too?

No, he sounds cool though.

So…
If he bumps an old thread, he is stupid. –> dead thread
If he posts a new thread, he is stupid. —> repost

I would imagine bumping the old thread is better than having to search and look through 400 old 300 wsm threads just to find some good info or tech on them.
