PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

This goes out to anybody with Daniel Defense furniture, I had to switch stocks, because under rapid fire, the stock would collapse and I would receive a punch to the face from a TA31.

Daniel Defense has since replaced my stock, however I replaced it with a BCM already. I did test the stock before putting it on a less used rifle, and it worked just fine.

Anyway, just a heads up. I was kind of bummed because I really like the fit of the DD stock, but I have lost confidence in it for my go to rifle.

I will add, that the current rifles I have received from them seem to have a much tighter tube to stock fit than what mine had, so it seems it has been addressed.

Thanks for your time.

DD replaced it…did they acknowledge an issue with your stock?

Is there some sort of official statement or recall?

That is a bummer. I’ve been thinking about trying one of their stocks. Thanks for posting though.

Wait, did your individual stock have a problem or is there a flaw in the design?

A flaw, I think. Mine did it too, they shipped another, it too would collapse sometime. Switched to mod0, no problem.

What he said, the rifles that came in after my report have a much tighter fitting stock. I am unaware of any statement from DD.

I would think DD would fix anything a customer had an issue with.
A few years ago I bought a RISII in FDE and the small plate was a different tint. I emailed them just to see if I could get a matching one.
They paid for the shipping to them, installed the rail and test fired it and shipped in back in about a week and a half.
I didn’t ask for any of that they offered. Ive sent back three guns before and they were the only ones who got it back to me in less than 2 monthes.
Now if they would stop over labeling everything they make I would only buy from them.

An incident or two, does not a crisis make. If DD wants to put out a statement about it, then we’ll wait for that.
