PTR91 or Bushmaster .308 MOE?

My question is pretty straight forward…
Would you guys recommend selling my PTR91 and buying a Bushmaster .308 MOE?
I’ve had my PTR for about 3 yrs and it’s been great, reliable, maintenence free and fun. But it is heavy, trigger sucks, mag changes are a slow deal at best, charging handle and safety selector are awkwardly positioned, and there is no bolt catch.
I like the AR platform and I’m reasonably well versed in using it having owned an LMT AR for about a year now.
Would I be downgrading? Quality wise? Reliablility wise?
I know, I know, I would loooooove to have a SR25, LMT MWS, or the like, but my budget isn’t gonna allow that.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I have had no issues thus far with my .308 bushy orc., decent range/hunting rifle for the money

Before you go buy anything, you might want to look at the Colt SP901 in .308 Winchester

I’m seriously looking at this for myself as a hunting rifle.

I trust anything Colt makes over a Bushmaster or PTR any day of the week from my experience…

No. If you’re wanting a ~$1000 7.62/.308, buy an Armalite AR10.

It doesn’t sound like you’re going to buy a fleet of 7.62 rifles, so mag compatibility is not an issue. Someone will surely bring it up though…

If you shop around you maybe able to grab a Sar 8 made in Greece for around 1200 bucks. This would be the best rifle at that price point. These rifles were made on HK tooling, and are g2g.

Thanks for the info/suggestions.
After looking up specs on the new Colt, I may just save up for a couple more months and go that route.
I too am a fan of Colts products, I just wasn’t aware of the price point.
Thanks again
