PSA Premium or Rainier Arms BCG

Both are on sale, which one would you pick?

PSA premium - $119.95 - http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/featured/palmetto-state-armory-5-56-bolt-carrier-group.html

Rainier Arms BCG - $109.95, with lifetime warranty https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=3759

I know the usual replies will be to spend a few dollars more and get a bcm, dd or lmt. But none of those companies are dropping their prices to match a changing market, and no deep discounts for black friday / cyber monday.

Rainier is generally considered good to go, and my experience with them has always been positive. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them.

I have no experience with PSA, except for ordering ammo (no issues with that transaction), so I can’t be of much help there.

Rainier, everyday and twice on Sunday. PSA is what I tell my buddies that don’t shoot a lot, to get so they don’t buy commercial spec. PSA is ok company, but there better(quality) out there.

I’ve got both, haven’t had any problems with either. I’d say Rainier because they’ve got a better reputation and are much faster with shipping than PSA.

Rainier Arms BCG anyday. I have 2 and they are 100%. No issues and great CS if there is a problem.

Well, I supposed if high pressure testing on the bolt is a requirement for you than PSA. The Rainier is only MPI and not HPT/MPI.

I was just in the same situation when shopping for a spare bcg this weekend. I ended up choosing Rainier since no one has anything bad to say about them.

Rainier Arms.

Rainier, for the above reason. I find HPT more destructive than helpful on modern, quality bolts. If I’m able to avoid it, I do.

Rainer

IMHO it is a wash between the two if you can get the PSA “branded” BCG, and thus know that it is their full C158 HPT/MPI shot peened offering.
