I guess we will have to see how this plays out.
It’s pretty creepy that the Judge had the Sherriff’s Daughters phone number and had called her a half hour earlier.
As this plays out we will learn alot more about they “Why’s” of this case, but the Sherriff has a story that’s not being told right now.

I’m keeping an eye on this one, if your keeping up; it would appear that suddenly people want to hear more about the back story on this. Just what was said on that phone call?
My Grandmother used to tell me stories about living in that area before the turn of the Century. Some of them would keep you up nights.

The Letcher deputy convicted over raping inmates for favorable treatment in the judge’s chambers apparently seemed like a good idea to the judge as well.
This might lend credence to the first rumor that the judge was screwing the sheriff’s daughter.

I caught this on YouTube earlier, there have eye wittness testimony that it occured to her, but also she had seen tapes of sex in the Judges Office.

I don’t see what makes it gay, but there is a time and a place. One should be able to safely unload a gun in any situation.
Because, as Averageman has pointed out*, it is about dominating a person the cops consider beneath them. Same thing with ordering those they consider beneath them to sit on the ground like a dog.
For an example, the 2 drunken cops who assaulted the trucker are allowed to run around as equals of their responding colleagues while the victim they all loathe is forced to sit on the ground.

Either you or me have got to be misunderstanding the context here. What I think Averageman was responding to was the article linked where a guy shot himself while attempting to show his carry gun to someone else. I disagree that showing someone your gun or wanting to see another’s gun is gay. I sure as heck don’t see how it would be about dominating another.

Here’s what I mean;
Cops will want to disarm you and take your gun from you as a sign that they “Out Rank” you and can emasculate you.
This is a favorite in Public where they can play to the Crowd.
Pulling your gun out in public and showing it off or handing it to someone else so they can finger bang it and admire it.
Just Gay.
If you carry a handgun, do all your checks at home, put it in the Holster and leave it there.
When you come back home at night you can put your BatMan pajamas on and do whatever else you like with your handgun, I just don’t want to know about it.
So to paraphrase;
Cops don’t need to take your Gun, they WANT to take your gun. If they accidently shoot you doing so, oh well at least THEY went home safe that night. GAY.
If you carry a gun, be serious with it, it can kill people. You really don’t need to show it off in public, You don’t need an opinion from some chucklehead, you need to keep it safe and secure in your holster. Pulling out your pistol to hand it to another Man so he can fawn over it and abmire and rub it?

I would guess if People followed the “Averagemans rules of Just Dont Be Gay” 20-40% of neglegent/accidental discharges just wouldn’t happen.

I agree about not pulling a gun out in public, but the story referenced was in an office. There’s nothing at all gay about showing a friend a gun. Just be safe and be sure that the person is really a friend.

I would be willing to bet that one of the reasons given for the unwashed masses not being allowed inside the hallowed courthouse armed is due to the claim(made by those professional enough which includes the prosecutors) is the general public would invariably be playing with their pistol and pop a round off.
